Concept art, and no screenshot worth showing you yet

These are the plates the coast is being built from. There is no gameplay capture on this page, because the ones we have are debug frames from a grey-box level with an instrumentation overlay across them — and dressing one of those up as a screenshot is exactly the thing this site exists not to do. The day there is a clean capture, it goes here with the date on it.

Every image below was produced with image-generation models as pre-production reference. None of it is in the game, the reference meshes have no skeleton and no skin weights, and production characters go through retopology, rigging and skinning by hand. The art manifest records the model used and a hash for every file.

The cast

Five archetypes and one predator

Pre-production plates. The reference meshes generated from them have no skeleton and no skin weights, so they are not in the game and cannot be animated. Two carry a known defect, disclosed on the press page.

  • Ren Vale, a lean scout in charcoal layers with a single green shoulder mantle, forearms wrapped in dark cloth, a slim blade sheathed across the lower back.
Ren Vale — Scout — Gale
  • Nyra Voss, lean and armoured for speed: deep navy under thin steel plates at the shoulders, forearms and shins, braided hair, a frayed short cloak from one shoulder and a curved single-edge sabre at the left hip.
Nyra Voss — Stormblade — Storm
  • Elian Ro, a composed figure in tailored ivory and indigo layers with slim metal focusing rings at the wrists.
Elian Ro — Veil Scholar — Radiance
  • Mira Kesh in practical weathered layers with heavy leather at the belt and shoulder, dressed for work rather than for a fight.
    Mira Kesh — Warden
  • Tor Varen, broad-shouldered in dark reinforced layers with limited armour panels and a heavy belt.
    Tor Varen — Stone
  • The Varkuun: a heavy quadruped at large-bear scale, high through the shoulders and low through the hips, with forelimbs longer than its rear legs so it stands nose-down, splayed clawed forepaws, and irregular mineral growth breaking through dark weathered hide.
Varkuun — apex predator of the coast

The starter set

What everybody begins in

The Wanderer set has to say trainee, not legendary: somebody three days out of the last settlement who packed sensibly. Charcoal cloth and one dust-faded earth tone, wrapped forearms, a short single-edge tool that can fight, and deliberately zero Veil glow anywhere on it — you have not earned the light yet. It is the plainest silhouette in the game on purpose, so every later set reads as an upgrade against it.

  • The starter outfit, front view: a charcoal wrapped top with an asymmetric closure and a thin umber trim, a heavy leather belt with a pouch, wrapped forearms and fingerless gloves, a cord-wrapped tool roll strapped to the right thigh, and tapered trousers gathered at the ankle over wrapped soft-soled boots.
The starter set — what everyone begins in.
  • The same starter outfit in profile, showing how the wrapped top closes across the body and how the thigh roll and belt sit on the hip.
Profile — the closure and the hip cluster.
  • The starter outfit from behind: a plain charcoal back with no cloak or pack, the belt continuing around, and the ankle wraps visible below the tapered trousers.
Back — deliberately plain; nothing is carried yet.
